13th September 2004 you will be able to design your own personal
learning programme. Choose from a variety of modules ranging from
General English to Business English.
Please read the information below about the modules before completing
the Course Enquiry
Form and returning it to us. We will contact you using the email
address given. Places are limited and preference will be given to
students who have completed a Course Enquiry Form prior to enrolment.
Modules
Monday
to Wednesday
GENERAL ENGLISH (All Levels)
Students will follow a different course book with a different teacher
each term. Classes will focus equally on the skills of reading,
writing, speaking, listening and, of course, everyone’s favourite
– Grammar!
Thursday
EXAM CLASSES
A specific exam class for students who wish to sit exams
in December, March or June.
- KET / PET / FCE / CAE / CPE
- IELTS (Required to enter further education in the UK. Now recognised
in USA & Australia)
- BEC - Business English Certificate (Cambridge)
Friday
MODULAR CLASSES
Pronunciation and Speaking: Students will learn the phonetic alphabet
and improve pronunciation of individual words as well as intonation
and fluency. The student may also enjoy the opportunity to take
part in role plays, drama and discussions.
Vocabulary and Grammar: Useful for students wanting to take the
FCE, CAE or CPE exam as the Use of English paper is particularly
challenging.
Living
English: A chance to learn useful everyday English needed for living
and working in England. For example how to fill in forms, be successful
in job interviews and make travel arrangements.
Business
English: For students who would like to study business or who are
already involved in business. Students will learn necessary skills
such as writing formal letters, making phone calls and producing
reports. The module contains specialist vocabulary.
