CHILC
offers a wide range of customised business English courses which
are tailor-made to meet the clients' individual requirements. Courses
range from one-to-one intensive one-week programmes to specialised
training courses for small groups. As with the other customised
courses provided by CHILC, the design and planning of the courses
structure is decided through consultation between CHILC and the
client.
The
three-step process in creating the Business English course of your
choice is as follows:
Step
One - The Initial Enquiry Stage
You
are assigned a consultant from our Programme Design Team. It is
his / her job to listen to your enquiry and to document and analyse
your needs. Initial areas for consideration and discussion typically
include:
- How
many hours per week of language training do you require?
- Which
areas of weakness would you like to improve?
- What
are your main goals and targets i.e. what do you want to achieve
by taking this course?
- What
special elements would you like to include in your course (i.e.
Finance, Engineering, Presentation Skills)
- What
extra-curricula activities would you be interested in?
- What
type of accommodation would you prefer?
- Will
you need transport from your point of arrival?
From
this, an initial course outline will be designed containing various
options and choices. This is then submitted to you in hard copy
form for amendment or approval.
Step
Two - The Secondary Consultation Stage
After
you have had sufficient time to look at the proposed course outline,
your personal consultant will discuss your programme with you once
more. At this stage he / she will look to clarify any further questions
you may have and, where necessary, make suitable amendments. When
you are happy with the design and structure of your course, you
will be asked to 'confirm and proceed' by signing the relevant documentation
and making a 20% deposit of the total cost of the course.
Step
Three
After
receiving your confirmation and deposit payment, CHILC will set
to work on finalising all relevant aspects of the course including
reserving accommodation, booking airport transfers etc. Your balance
payment for your customised business English course should be made
no later than 30 days prior to commencement. Business English courses
typically consist of 15 hours per week tuition in General English
PLUS a flexible number of hours tuition in your chosen specialised
subject as required and specified. As with the other customised
