ABLS
is a nationwide body whose members are private language schools
dedicated to providing the best possible service at every stage
of your learning experience, from dealing with your initial enquiry,
arranging your accommodation and delivering your course to assessment
and follow-up.
Founded in 1993, The Association of British Language Schools ABLS
is a self-governing body with the specific aim of promoting quality,
professionalism and expertise in the field of English Language tuition
and associated services.
ABLS represents a wide variety of different English Language providers
throughout Britain. It includes both large schools, small schools
and home-stay organisations, all providing a very personal service.
To become an approved member of ABLS a school must undergo a thorough
inspection process. All members are then subject to an annual inspection,
which covers teaching standards, school facilities, student welfare
and accommodation.
ABLS is a national association whose members offer a diverse selection
of year-round and summer courses suitable for all ages and abilities.
ABLS members are registered with the Department for Education and
Skills (DfES) and are able to issue visa support documents where
required. The UK Home Office Immigration and Nationality Directorate
produced guidelines identifying the Association of British Language
Schools (ABLS) as one of the three main bodies accrediting bona
fide private education institutions in the UK.
